UCA-NI and Global Horizon Skills offer a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Apprenticeship programme suitable for counter and dispensing assistants in Community Pharmacy. The programme is delivered online and onsite with a dedicated team of trainers and assessors based in NI. The Pharmacy Services Apprenticeship is open to candidates of any age with full funding provided by Dept for Economy for the training element.
To be eligible, candidates must be a new employee, or an existing employee new to the role, employed for a minimum of 21 hours. Successful apprentices who don’t already hold a minimum of a grade D in English, Mathematics and ICT at GCSE level, will undertake Essential Skills training in Numeracy, Literacy & ICT alongside their Pharmacy Services training.
In addition to the 100% funding for the training, pharmacy businesses will receive a business incentive payment on successful completion of the course by an Apprentice.
